There are weddings that feel beautiful, and then there are weddings that feel meaningful in every single detail. Shannon and Anthony’s celebration at The Elizabeth House in Leeds, New York, was the kind of day that reminded everyone why love is worth slowing down for.

As their Hudson Valley wedding planner, I had the privilege of stepping in during the final stages of planning to bring everything together for a weekend that felt effortless, welcoming, and full of heart. Shannon and Anthony live in Philadelphia, but they dreamed of a setting where guests could escape the city and truly be present. The Elizabeth House, with its sweeping views of the Catskills and its easy charm, offered exactly that.

The couple arrived at the property on Thursday and were then joined by their families, turning the venue into a home base for the weekend. It quickly became more than just a wedding location. It was a gathering place filled with shared meals, laughter, and anticipation. By the time their wedding day arrived, every space felt personal.

Inside the tent, long tables were styled with a mix of romantic, organic details. Shannon designed and created her own bud vases with a blend of real and faux flowers, filling each table with a sense of intimacy and creativity. The color palette was timeless and soft, reflecting her love of natural beauty and thoughtful simplicity. Candles glowed among the florals, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere as the sun began to set.

Guests were served a beautiful family-style meal by Hudson Valley Food Dude . The menu was filled with locally inspired dishes that encouraged conversation and connection, which was exactly what Shannon and Anthony wanted. From the first course to the final toast, it felt more like a dinner shared among friends than a formal reception.

Anthony’s Lebanese heritage brought an incredible energy to the evening. The Dabke dance, full of rhythm and joy, drew everyone to their feet. It was one of those moments that perfectly captured the heart of the day — tradition, community, and celebration all woven together.

Their vows took place near the creek at The Elizabeth House, a quiet, picturesque corner of the property that felt perfectly them. Surrounded by family and friends, the ceremony was emotional and grounded, with just the right balance of joy and reverence.

When it came time for their first dance, the tent filled with light and music. The space that had felt calm earlier in the day transformed into something electric. Laughter, clinking glasses, and the sound of dancing feet filled the night air. DJ ZNA kept the energy flowing well into the evening, and guests never stopped smiling. During dinner, couples’ special wedding songs and first dances played so each could relive the moment again.

Planning with Shannon and Anthony was such a joy. They trusted the process, cared deeply about their guests, and stayed true to what mattered most to them. Every detail was intentional, but nothing ever felt forced. Their wedding was a beautiful example of how elegant design and genuine warmth can coexist so naturally. Every detail, captured by Gaige and Belle.

Being part of this day reminded me why I love what I do. As a Hudson Valley wedding planner, helping couples create experiences that feel personal, grounded, and unforgettable is what truly lights me up. Shannon and Anthony’s celebration will stay with me for a long time.
